about MarutiNandan SundarKand

We are a Brahmin Couple from Uttarakhand, India. We migrated to Australia in 2017 and continued our religious practices far from home to make sure our children stay connected to their heritage. In 2021 (post-covid) we decided to spread the message of our Sanatan Dharma to our close friends and started weekly SundarKand recital. Slowly this became a bigger mission for us and we started offering the service to our community with a focus to educate youth and elders about their rich cultural heritage. We are committed in our journey to spread RAM NAAM and Sanatan Dharma in our community and have joined hands with various local communities in Sydney. We aim to organise at least 3-4 community level events every year free of cost for everyone. Details about our events can be found on our facebook page .

Our Mission & Vision

At Marutinandan SundarKand, we are dedicated to spreading the divine teachings of Lord Hanuman and the spiritual power of SundarKand. Through devotional recitations, sacred texts, and meaningful community engagement, we strive to inspire faith, strengthen spiritual connections, and bring devotees closer to the essence of Hanuman Bhakti.

What is SundarKand?

Sundarkand is the fifth chapter of the Ramayana, highlighting the strength, wisdom, and devotion of Lord Hanuman. It is a spiritual tool for overcoming obstacles and receiving divine blessings.

  • It primarily focuses on Hanuman’s journey to Lanka in search of Mata Sita, who was abducted by Ravana.
  • The word β€œSundar” means beautiful, and β€œKand” means section or chapter. It is called Sundarkand because it describes the glorious deeds of Hanuman in an inspiring and uplifting way.
  • This section showcases Hanuman’s devotion, strength, intelligence, and unwavering faith in Lord Rama.

Why is SundarKand Special?

SundarKand is considered special because it is a chapter in the Ramayana that solely focuses on Hanuman’s story, showcasing his immense devotion, strength, and selflessness towards Lord Rama, making it a powerful symbol of unwavering faith and resilience in the face of challenges;Β unlike other chapters where Rama is the central character, Sundarkand highlights Hanuman’s heroic deeds and unwavering loyalty.Β
